Property Help

The property must be placed before any other zones and all other zones must be placed within the minimum bound.

The minimum bound slider adjusts the side length measured in kilometers.

Zone Help

Zones represent different habitat types that might exist within a landscape. Different zone types vary in the variety and density of flowering plants which the model takes in to account when simulating bee behaviour. The model assumes that an area with no zone contains no flowering plants.

Adding Zones

Zones can be added using the Add tool.

1. Select the desired zone type. (The current selection will be highlighted in blue.)
2. Click the "Add" button.
3. Outline the zone by clicking the map to add its vertices.
4. Complete the zone by clicking on the first vertex added.

Editing Zones

To select a zone for editing simply click on it on the map.

To finish editing the selected zone click "Accept".

• Changing Type:

  Change the type of a zone by selecting a new type from the list.

• Reshaping:

  Click and drag a vertice to move it to a new location.

• Deleting:

  Click the "Delete" button to remove the selected zone.
